Preparing Every Case As If It Will Go To Trial

I defend clients in state and federal court against misdemeanor and felony charges. I have experience representing clients accused of various crimes including:

  • Assault and battery
  • Murder or homicide
  • Sex crimes
  • Theft and shoplifting
  • White collar crimes
  • Other felonies and misdemeanors

Plea negotiations can save time and expense, and I will work hard to reach a favorable agreement. However, occasionally, a trial is necessary to protect my clients’ rights. I have extensive litigation experience and prepare every case as if it will go to trial. I also assist clients with sentence modifications, appeals and post-conviction relief.

Criminal Record Expungement

Under a revised criminal record expungement law in Indiana, which is often referred to as the “second chance” law, eligible individuals with prior misdemeanor and certain felony convictions in Indiana can petition a court to expunge their criminal records.

The law states that a person whose record is expunged “shall be treated as if the person had never been convicted of the offense.” This means that if you or someone you know has been convicted of a felony and that felony is expunged, that individual will again be allowed to do things like vote, hold public office, serve as a juror or to the extent not prohibited by federal law, to own or possess a firearm.

Those who have made a mistake or wrong choice and paid their debt to society should be given a second chance to enjoy their lives and provide for their families. I can evaluate your case to determine if you qualify to have your criminal record expunged. Please contact me to set up a free consultation.
